Conquer Club

I'm playing the map, and I was wondering how to conquer Britain, because the map says that you can bombard but not conquer.

Just a bit confusing.

you can only conquer britain if u have a territory inside the continent. U have to own one of the 3 terts that make up britain and then conquer the other 2 territories from the other players to hold it.
Don't forget that ppl can still bombard u from outside and break ur bonus. So i suggest that you take one of the bombardment points first before trying to take over britain.

I asked qwert about it and he said that you cannot conquer Britain from mainland Europe. After Britain is left neutral from the bombardments, the players are left to fight in mainland Europe.

the fact that Britain can be bombarded into neutrality is one my favourite aspects of that map, actually. it adds a critical dimension to a no cards game, if you can hold Britain from the start and quickly capture and hold the missile sites. if you can't do that, you have to try and grab N. Italy first.

course, all of that matters a lot less in a cards game, especially in escalating, but i love the WWII Western Front map. really, really fun to play -- much more so than Eastern Front
