How quick could you win?

HELLO!

I've been considering creating a tournament that I think would be a lot of fun, but I had a few questions that I thought I'd bring to the forum before going for it. Any answers you have would be helpful. I guess there's no real point for me to be too secretive of my plan, but I just think it's a really exciting idea, and if I can keep it a secret that would be really fun for me. If it turns out that it would be useful for this discussion to know more, than I'm not against revealing more, but I'm trying to keep it veiled for now.

Anyway, here are my questions...
I'm curious as to what you think a fairly quick elimination of an opponent would be? In a 1 v 1 game, how many rounds would a normal match last and how long would a lopsided quick game last? Could you conceivably beat an opponent in 3 rounds, or would that be too impossible? Would it be an easy task to say that you could win a 1 v 1 in 8 rounds?

In addition, I'm curious about the same fact for more players. In a three or four person game, could any person be knocked out in 4 rounds? If an announced alliance occured in a three person game, how fast could those two knock out their opponent?

If there are the max people in a battle, and everyone is going for knockouts rather than the win, could some be taken out in 3 rounds or less? In a seven or eight person game, with alliances allowed, how many rounds would it take for one person to be shoved off the map?

I'm looking for the most confident but reasonable answers. Be cocky, but don't be rediculous and say 1 round for the sake of it.

I'm looking forward to the responses and if you have any questions as to what I mean, I'll be happy to clarify.

Thanks
Tstoweschnell

for 1v1 on doodle earth have a look at Sir Ricco's Mission Survive the Longest. Each round people have been taken out in the 3rd round.

8 player games it is possible to take someone out before they play on small/med maps, if people work together (and they go last).

I guess the question is:

In a 1 v 1 fight, at what round is it more likely that the game is over?
On the classic map, 1v1, by round 5, what percentage of games are still being played? round 6? round 7?

I'm looking for the round where it is just as likely that the game would be over as it is still going on, what is that turning point round? My current guess is round 5, but that seems like it might be too low.

I had a Doodle Earth 1v1 that I won in the 3rd round. I also had a Discworld game go 16 rounds. Most seem to go about 8 or 9 on average though.

On an "average" map (classic sized) I'd say 4 rounds is about the quickest you'll see, for 1 on 1. I'm not saying 3 rounds can't happen, but it's rare. With something the size of doodle, with unlim forts, it could be over in round 2, but I don't play much on doodle, so I haven't seen it. Theoretically, it's possible to win any map on the first turn. But the odds are astronomical.

I have won feudal in, I believe 3 rounds, but that was unusual. Age of Realm games tend to be quick, often no more than 4-6 rounds.

you don't need speed to win in doodle earth quickly (although it would be good)...
Here's the setting for the most fastest game possible:
Freestyle
Escalating
Doodle Earth
8 players
Assassin
preferably Speed Game
