I don't get it...
He told green to take Sanctuary from yellow, then green didn't, and then he said "Green are you crazy! etc." Now they'll both lose when yellow starts. What's extraordinary about bad play?

*Edit* Seems that was you. Still, people make bad moves every day.

You have to hold the sanctuary at the start of your turn to win...

I think I get it now. Red thinks yellow will win just because it's his turn. Yellow still has to hit "begin turn" to win (so he might not win if he misses).

If you are last player before guy who holds Sanctuary... And if Sanctuary is undefended...
You don't take it and let guy win - that isn't extraordinary??????
And after (unnecessary, I thought) explicit warning?
I guess then nothing is extraordinary for you...

He means "don't tell people what to do"
But, in this case, you were right, he absolutely should've attacked sanctuary, and he didn't. But there's nothing extraordinary about bad play. It happens in most games.

You could avoid all that taking the sanctuary by your self ...

I guess it's just a matter of personal word perception. Plainly, a move is bad if your position is (significantly) worse than with some other move. But, if some move immediately loses BY DEFAULT, virtually forfeits the game, I wouldn't call it just bad...

There is some more trivia about this game. I had a good position a one move before, but have had an extremely bad dice. Among the rest, I've lost 2 units 8 consecutive times - probability about 0.00005 OR 0.005% OR 1:20000. We could say - not very odd on a site with such big traffic. But it was my birthday, first since I've been a CC member, so I thought it could be worth mentioning...

I could take Sanctuary myself, but I didn't wont to make his move easier. This way, his move was more complicated, with less leeway and I hoped that he'll play badly. But he fucked me by playing too badly...
That means, Bonsignori, that I could win the game in previous turn, by leaving ~40 units in Sanctuary. You couldn't break me alone...
