All About Dice

I have to say that I have never experienced so many bad die rolls in a game before like in CC. The die program is of course totally random.
But I think the die program lacks that human factor. like blowing on the die, and warming them up a bit with your hands, using you're ESP to fudge the outcome. I'm sure some Geek could program that factor in some how. and it mite give you a .001% to .020% more of a chance of winning. Take the Poll running for ten days
==========================================================
Risk Die Rolling has always been bad die. It's the way the rules were made. you may think that you have the upper hand because you have that extra die, but that is not the case. there is the tie factor! The tie factor gives the defender a slight edge.
Risk Die for the Attacker
1 die VS 1 die
The chances are 15 wins vs 21 loses
2 die Vs 1 die
The chances are 18 wins vs 18 loses
3 die vs 1 die
The chances are lots of wins
Anyhow the point is when you attack , you better not count on the luck of the die. ..... #-o
More Latter.........

interesting thread. never thought anyone would program a pair of die together. that would be silly. but i think the odds would be the same. and programs don't get stuck, just the programmers... :D

The point is that dice are only a means of obtaining a result. Risk and Monopoly Backgammon are a few of board games that are rated as having to have some skill, unlike Chess, Checkers, Go, and Diplomacy that are 100% skill. If you want to win at risk , then don't make foolish move or get mad at the dice or others , cause it's all about what you do on the board.....
P.S. i'll post a die chart next.

You need to play more games to get an informed decision I love the dice i always love the dice my enemy is the attack button. We must learn to stop pushing it before it is to late.

Clearly what you need is moar mudkips.

It's the only answer to your dice related problems.
Look, I'm feeling generous, so here's one to get you started:Image

The other option is to not click. as Shakespeare said " To click or not to click, that is the question, or to suffer the rolls of you're ill willed die or to smash thy computer screen into a million parts like the Roman empire, and take up playing poker with the witches of Mac Beth"

Then you need to use moar mudkips. After all, If you throw enough mudkips at a wall, then some of them are bound to stick.

Well here is the prelude to it.
Barnard's Star - Bseps.zipftp://ftp.grognard.com/download/games/board/bseps.zip (156110 bytes) A science fiction war game of the first interstellar war. The game comes as a kit, broken down into several EPS (postscript files) for printing and constructing by you. A PDF version - Barnard.pdf,ftp://ftp.grognard.com/download/games/board/barnards.pdf (323228 bytes) is also available. Designer: Kerry Anderson.
Gee i even got my name in as a play tester! yahoo [y] this game was a lot of fun, like Apollo 13 my ships were always in bad shape. many flew into the sun , but most just wondered off into space. never to been seen again. needless to say my planets were attacked with ease until the ground troops got involved! The name Barnard's Star was picked because it is closer to earth, only about 5 or 6 light years i think..
The die were simple and the game relied mostly on tactics and basic knowledge of spaceflight.
