write in the game log that in 1 turn you will be ending it, or 2 if you want to be nice

What if you are down to three players, and you have a truce with one of them.
He takes his go and leaves one army of the other opponent at the end of his go, and you cannot attack that opponent.

Why should you say: "In one turn it'll stop"?
Surely your opponent has left you with no alternative to attack, because if you say: "in one turn" you give the entire advantage of that attack to your opponent" and they are the one who has specifically left it in the one-on-one scenario effectively anyway.

How would that work?

In that situation, you're opponent (the one you're allied with) would have to be a complete dick to complain about being attacked. The best advice I have, is to avoid treaties, especially ones that cover the whole board, rather than just 1 or 2 borders.
