I've now came to a new realization; I will not be playing low ranks again. The terrible plays, horrendous strategies seem to be very apparent amongst most, not all low ranked players. The suicide attacks and team oriented strategies in three person games have become so outrageous that it is not worth playing with or against them anymore.

When you confront these players in the above mentioned circumstances, their common responses are; stop whining, I just play for fun, you are the most dangerous, etc. Truly amazing how a player can play a game, not have any intention of winning, just to attack a player who is trying to use good strategy and win. I play mostly three player games and we all know, if it becomes a 2 on 1, there is not shot at winning.

I try not to discriminate against any player as if you view my games, I play anyone, anytime. This unfortunately will come to an end.

what is your definition of low-ranked player? am i one? just so you know, not all low ranked players are like that, but you probably know that, and i see your point. also, if you play low ranked players, you win low points, but lose high points

Your post was reasonable, and I am no big fan of bad strategy myself. The problem is that your reputation preceeds you. Many people have made complaints about your abusive chat and abuse of the feedback system. I for one remember you coming into games I was in that you weren't even playing in and making hostile remarks about me to other players. Maybe it isn't the low ranked players that are the problem. I have found the higher-rankers to be the selfish and arrogant ones.

As for the statement that you don't discriminate against anyone, that's a lie. You discriminate against me, and you have the habit of seeing yourself above anyone who does not have 2000+ points. This whole "I'm too good for low-ranked players" attitude has existed well before now, so I don't know why you make a thread about it as if it were old news.

I say go ahead and refuse to play anyone who is not good enough for you.

Rocky, you are correct; not all low ranked players play bad. Never said that. In fact, there are several who I would welcome in one of my games at any time. What I meant was, my experience playing them as of late has not been a positive experience. Also true Rocky, you lose more and win less. That is the breaks of playing anyone, which I do in public games for the fun.

Whump, look at my games and see if what I say is true as far as playing anyone, just not you. As I stated several times in the past, you and I will never meet again, nothing personal, just the way it is. As far as my attitude on the site Whump, I thought I made that clear previously also. What you need to do is stop trolling in the forum and posting crap that has already been posted previously. Before you make this post into a flame war on you, post facts instead poking fun at others. Focus on your abundance of negatives from others on this site before you cast judgment on me.

Back to the topic. I enjoy playing a variety of people to see other styles of play. What I don't like is an all out suicide attack on me. Yes, this is the risk I take playing public games but at the same token, we should all play to win, not to allow others to win especially in 3 player games.

LOL, wrong what? I commend you for eliminating a lieutenant. Not sure what you are trying to say. This is my point; if you use good strategy and smart play, you deserve to win. Feel free to re-read this post.

That's fair codeblue. Still, I hope you can understand that I did not appreciate you coming into my games and saying nasty stuff about me though.

As a medium ranked player, I would also like to add that sometimes when playing low rank, (or maybe more like ? mark guys, or guys fairly new to the site) you have to be ready for a suicide attack, or strange Fortifications. We shouldnt be pissed about it, we shoulc be able to predict it. I mean some of us have been on this site now for over a year playing risk every day, Thats a lot of risk! Just thinking that we should be ready for that kind of thing. Its part of the stratagy of knowing who your playing.

However codeblue I did take a look at some of your games as you suggested. You do play the occasional low-ranked player (cook, cadet, private), but tend to play people with higher rankings. What I found very revealing was just how much in fact you do complain about other players. It appears that I am not the only one you refuse to play. The following are games I picked at random.

I struggle to find a game in which you are not chewing somebody out. It could be that 80% of the players on this site are horrible, but that is unlikely. Maybe part of the problem points to you. I'm sure there are countless other examples of this sort of thing occurring.

I am not high ranked, but in playing low ranks, I see your problems. my worst problem, and will always be, losing 40+ points to a cook. that is my fault and the way the army gods and dice gods felt that day. But, to try and get a little more challenge, I play similarly ranked people thorugh searching - ALOT, OR play some I know, OR lately, I have been posting in the callouts section. it takes a little longer, but much less risk as far as who joins. I would like to add that I have played some GREAT players who were low ranked. its a couple handfuls of the weird ones.

You rightly complain about the unfairness of a 2 against 1 situation, which prompts the question. Why do you continue to play 3 player games? It's an inherent vulnerability of this game type.

I don't quite see what wrestler1ump is trying to say with his post. Is it that codeblue gets pissed off when other player act stupidly? What's so bad about that? I often react the same way, for example when people think they should be allowed to hold Asia, when people let others hold Asia, senseless eliminations that are utterly uneconomical. I hope I usually point it out in less "hostile" ways, but point it out I do.

I think Code is more referring to a recent game me and him were in. I had 2 bonuses, Code had 1, and the 3rd player had 0, but had the army lead for a bit. Well code told the other player it would be wise to break me, so in turn the 3rd player goes and breaks him for saying that then says "I want the other player to win as he is a bit nicer" Get real! Needless to say after code said he was going to put a thread up on it the other player starting attacking me. But that was only after code said he would do that.

Sometimes, the diplomacy of lower ranks exceeds that it really should.

Many of the players need to learn how to play the game, and not try to talk their way into a win.

Some lower ranked player threw an escalating game on me, as I wouldn't do what he said - regardless of the fact that him doing it would place him for an easy elimination and game for another player.

My intent was not to diss codeblue (contrary to what Twill wants to believe), but rather to point out how often he seems to have a problem with other players. Code, it just seems that in more than half of your games you are getting mad at someone and exclaiming your use of the ignore list. Can there really be that many bad players out there?

Yes there really is that many bad players out there. Hence why 75% of the player or so are a few ranks. The most common ranks are Cook, Cadet, Private, and Private First Class. Hmm I wonder why..
