Food for thought - this is why sometimes its easier to win a multiplayer game than a 1v1. In multiplayer your skill is more important because even if one or two players have mad bonus drops, there are at least a few other folks out shitting in the canoe with you, so you'll pick off one or two of them for cards if you know what your doing, and manage to stake a claim and even out the drop. And, relatively speaking, first draw gives you less of an advantage, cause you can't knock down all your opponents, but, of course, last draw in a multiplayer game is not great, but perhaps not even quite as bad as in 1v1 unless everybody gangs on you in the first move.
In 1v1, dice will make or break you every time. In multiplayer, position and tactical manuevers get you more, and if you play right, you're only going on all out attacks in a small portion of the game.
I don't know... maybe I don't know what I'm talking about here cause I don't play much multiplayer, but I'm 10/17 in 4+ player games, not counting team games, and I can honestly say that my individual result depended in every case on cards, position, and, order of play, and, in the majority of games, one opponent who was too aggressive, rather than outright "quirky" dice...
My ever constant two last games seem to have no end in sight!
