I fail to see why it's a good or bad thing, who cares what our average/top scores actually are?

So the average CCer right now has 1,132 points.
Points inflation to date has been 13.2%, which would suggest about 5% per year.

I dunno.... I've seen some team games where a person with 1 point lost, and the team average was still taken away from him, so those points were made up out of nowhere.

Aside from what BaldAdonis said about team game, there is also the fact that people have had their scores reset. This would be deflation to counter some of the inflation that has occurred.
