Conquer Club

This is a long overdue post, but I just wanted to point out some new volunteers we have on the team.

First off, Takman2k joined us about a month ago as a new chat mod to cover some some gaps that were forming.

Fireside Poet has switched from chat mod to a new hunter to cover the sadly increasing response time we've had in the cheating and abuse forum.

Clapper011 has added the off topics forum to her list of places to watch over. Clapper011 was one of our first dedicated chat mods and will continue her activities there but has stepped up to help give some more coverage in that dept.

We also have a couple people I would like to thank for their work. Even though they are not official TeamCC members, Gozar and Forza AZ have been working very hard to bring new content to ConquerClub.

Gozar has become the editor-in-chief of the fantastic tournament newsletter. If you want to get a weekly summary of what's going on in the tournament world - tournaments waiting for signups, tournaments recently finished and some genuinely funny and interesting interviews with tournament organizers and players, I strongly suggest you subscribe

Forza AZ has been helping out in the map foundry making sure that all the XML files being submitted are accurate and don't break Conquer Club when we launch the maps. He has been invaluable helping the Cartographers get maps out...including the batch of 8 maps currently awaiting official launch.


Thank you to all these folks for stepping up to volunteer and make this community what it is! If it weren't for these folks, we wouldn't have the content, the eyes or the people who make this such a fun place to be!

I am still looking for extra mods to add coverage to Off Topics, Sugs/bugs, General, Q&A, Callouts, and Flame wars (if you dare). Please PM me with the names of people you think might be good as mods...please don't nominate yourself, I ignore most of those

Thanks for all the help and assistance you all give to Conquer Club! It is greatly appreciated. Perhaps we can get some new mod blood in here...in time!

Actually...I think it was decided that clap and I popped our cherries at the same time. Ahh...what a great moment that was. Nothing like loosing your mod virginity.

It's the fact that you are hunting for nominations. That is pretty much the same as saying "I want the job, someone nominate me," which is the same as nominating yourself pretty much.

Someone should nominate you based on them thinking you'd be a good mod, not because you asked them.

what if I said I was willing to do it
just incase someone thinks I would be a good mod, then they would nominate me
