Mistakes due to the interface

For those who do not use the various supplemental scripts available, how many "mistakes" do you make in the course of the game?
- I thought X was attacking ... and thus you block your own superior forces.
- I thought I was attacking Y ... loose forces or block another attack.
- I thought I said X troops were moving in ... forces once again moved into cul de sac.
I seem to be making far to many of them lately. At least one or two in the course of the game. I used to make one or two in the course of the day so I'm getting better.

The last mistake I made (not counting just poor strategy and game play!) was on the China Map...thought I was attacking one territory and it was actually a territory right next to it! But over all, maybe 1 "real" mistake a game.

maybe you have too many games or just need to be more patient with your turns. i found the amount of mistakes i made were greatly reduced the better i became at the game. i also know my own personal limit on games, without making bonehead moves, is around 30. i prefer to play under 15 at a time (doubles), but with some of the partners i have, they insist on setting up at least 20 at a time, and i must comply. so, perhaps you need to figure out, the limit of games you can handle without using the cheat tools, like i have done. and maybe you should also slow down on your turns, and eliminate tiny mistakes (check your pull downs a few times and make sure you are dropping or attacking the proper place). anyway, i understand the frustration with making silly mistakes that may be difficult or impossible to recover from, but i also understand how fun this site is, WHEN YOU USE YOUR OWN BRAIN, as you and i do. so, slow it down, and figure out your limits. the better you get, the more capable you will be to handle a large volume of games.-0
p.s.-IF i make a mistake in a game, it is generally ONE before i kick myself in the ass and get it back together.

Ever since switching over to
Clickable Maps my life has changed dramatically.
My win record hasn't, but my mistakes have.
I used to make a ton of "oh wait, Kamchatcka's over THERE?" mistakes, but not any more!
Best damn script ever if you ask me

owen has a good point, find how many games you can handle with out being in a hurry. i like 20 with 10 awating players to keep things flowing. i do like some of the grease monkey stuff but i don't need it most of the time. it does help to find that one army i almost missed some times but at the same time i have goten a lot better at looking before clicking. i am now working on not clicking in anger...

I did this serveral times on Feudal. The territories are just numbers, and there might be two "7's" bordering the same "from" territory... invariably I hit the first one in the drop down when I'm in a hurry, or just a little to focussed on a close game, and - of course - I burn on 10 neutrals or something like that. Rarely does it happen on any other map for me.

Hardly ever happens. In fact, happens more when I am using BoB, because it's so ridiculously bloated that I time out half my moves, then I'm in a rush to finish in 5 minutes.

I am working on that myself right now. Fustration with making a foolish drop of armies from not re-checking the drop down menu or attacking the wrong territory by not checking can lead to clicking buttons that shouldn't be clicked if I wasn't angry with myself
It does just take re-checking to make sure what you are doing is what you want to do before you click any buttons. I have to learn
