"You cannot have more then 50 games waiting at a time"

wtf? lol since when has that rule been into effect... how annoying lol, i participate in 20+tournaments at a time, and regularly get messages for me to join more games

one tournament im in "Map Blasters" plays 8-way matches in every map on the site at the same time... so now i cant join the games until other players show up, forceing me to check up later and later in many different tournaments...

apologize for the slight rant on this but it really sucks :S

The rule's been in place for a long time (always?). This is the first time I've read a legitimate complaint about it though. Maybe they should exclude Tournament games from that cap.

It prevents people from setting up hundreds of games and then deadbeating them all at once. That happened in extraordinary fashion twice, which was two times too many....so they put a cap on games you can join at one time.

It would be nice to exclude tournament games from the rule, or possibly exclude private games that you join (not create). Since you have to know a password to join a private game, you wouldn't be able to go through and join excessive amounts, and it would have the added bonus of being applicable to tournament games as well.

hasnt been around that long... the first round of said tournament was in mid april and i had 70+games in the waiting area at that time... this is the first ive seen this 50 limit since then

sully - ayeaye, i can see the reasoning behind it, but i do agree, passworded games at least should be left out of this, its just annoying cuz now until the other players join these games, any PM's i get about new tournament games i cannot comply

p.s.-exclude passworded games, seems simple enough.

ADDITIONAL PROBLEM

my list is currently at 50 (do to map blaster plus many other tournaments) but because my list is at 50, i cant create any new tournament games! even though im not playing in the games, i cant create them either... this is BAD because my tournaments stay on a schedual, when this schedual is interupted it ruins the flow i have very closly managed... not to mantion participants get annoyed (espcially free players who are keeping a spot open SPECIFICALLY for my tournament) this rule is not good... we need it changed to exclude tournaments for sure

It sounds to me like the tournament mods haven't been giving the correct guidance to people making tourneys

haha then you havnt read the "Tournament handbook" on the create/join thread no, the tournament mod's do a very good job they are on top of all the tournaments made, sometimes im surprised to see one of them say "hey, just so you know blah blah blah isnt up to standard" and i think "damn, with 40+tournaments in the create/join area howed they find this!" lol, but this is a more recent problem, probably something noone anticipated is all

i remember the rev incident lack had to make a program for that or something lol

You are correct.... I have gotten involved in running a tournament and it was like pulling teeth. I've tattooed the inside of my eyelids with DO NOT MAKE A TOURNAMENT

lol and little ol me running 15 or so tournaments at a time... good thing i have more then 15 teeth i suppose tournament creation is not for everyone, but if you ever wana try again and need advice im always good for that, as are a good core group of players in the tournament community, its a very friendly place and most everyone helps eachother out
