MODS ARE GOING MAD

I left feedback for bad play. Player A attacks me and kills 6 countries, Player B (who has a 10 bonus) kills me off and takes my cards and in the next round wins the game. Can a mod tell me how Player does not deserve bad feedback for that???

Feedback, if used properly, can be an excellent resource to gauge reputation. If abused, it quickly becomes useless. The feedback quoted below is inappropriate and has been deleted.

you are a whiner, negative feedback was not warranted in the situation... big deal, you don't like how they played. if "bad play" or "made a dumb move" were legit reasons for neg feedback, we would all have more negs than positives!!!-0

im a whiner. your a fukin hyprocrite!! you got pissed coz someone DARED ask you to take your turn and told all the CC community about it..

Plus, i have only left 6 negative feedbacks in 2 years of playing at CC. And i only have 2 players on my foe list........

White moose choose to attack me and it was obvious the other player was gonna kill me off and take my cards and the game!!!! instead of attacking the stronger player who was getting a ten bonus he attacked me and firmly planted the game at sir.ricco's feet.

white moose didnt do it to help him win, he done it coz he has shit tactics and instead of growing a back bone and attacking the clearly more dominat player, he attacked me and gave the game to sir.ricco, who clearly won the game with ease!!

Quite right wicked, you have a habit of taking things off topic owen, can't you see hulmey has issues. Calling someone a whiner is, after all, one of those particularly mean and subtle double insults....one change to the letters and position and he would be a winner.

Naw. I agree with Owen, TonyMontana needs to stop snitchin and quit bitchin.

Grow a pair and deal with the fact that not everyone is as brilliant as an "online-multiplayer-variation-of-a-popular-world-domination-board-game" strategist as your white ass.

Back on topic:
It has been shown time, and time again that leaving negative feedback based on someone's strategy (or lack thereof) alone is not acceptable. If it gets challenged, it will be deleted. If that's not good enough for you, just wait a little while. When the feedback system is switched over, it won't matter anymore. It's been quite apparent in the discussion of the new system, that feedback is NOT meant to rate a player's skill. That's what points and win percentages are for.

It has been shown time, and time again that leaving negative feedback based on someone's strategy (or lack thereof) alone is not acceptable. If it gets challenged, it will be deleted. If that's not good enough for you, just wait a little while. When the feedback system is switched over, it won't matter anymore. It's been quite apparent in the discussion of the new system, that feedback is NOT meant to rate a player's skill. That's what points and win percentages are for.


well what is the point in leaving feedback if it isnt about the game concerned. I want players to know that the concerned player makes stupid moves and threw the game to the other player!!!

As a counter agrument :

I want mods to remove all the feedback I have left stating that a player is "good". Is this factual???

I know I'm not wicked, but it seems pretty obvious why that's the case. Have you ever submitted a positive feedback for deletion? Do you expect the mods to spend their time reading every feedback ever left? Negs get deleted, Positives do not. If you'd like to go check on everyone's feedback to make sure they aren't being rated well due to their skill, go ahead. I'm sure the mods would love all the extra work to track down, and delete all those positive feedbacks that were based on someone's skill, or even, god forbid, retaliatory positives.

Of course. But those are submitted for moderation. My point is that, unless someone has a problem with the feedback they've been left, it won't be deleted, or even looked at, because the mods have a lot of better ways to spend their time.

its just bullshit....what does feedback mean? thats what i was doing! the repoert from the mods said it wasnt factual. f*ck thAT, after knocking me out, the other player won in 2 turns!!!!

I just read the instructions for feedback and I didn't notice anything about not leaving feedback about an other persons gameplay.

Feedback Guidelines

* Leave only fair and factual comments that relate to a specific game.
* Do not leave feedback for trivial things like missing an occasional turn.
* Do not use foul language.
* Do not fish for feedback (i.e. leave positive feedback to get positive feedback in return).
* Do not leave retaliatory feedback (i.e. leave negative feedback in revenge of negative feedback).

The guidelines also state feedback is meant to be an indication of a persons reputation on CC. This is (or was meant to be) mainly a gaming site, where people play a game, how are their gaming skills, whether good or bad, then not relevant for their reputation?
In case you don't see my point, I think gaming skills are relevant.

And I agree with hulmey on this point, if the stated reason for deleting the feedback was that it was "not factual", the feedback appears to have been wrongfully deleted, unless hulmey was down to 3 armies on 3 territories and White Moose just was unusually unlucky with the dice. Then it's debateable whether going for the cards was the right thing to do or not, though going for cards in a flat rate game is usually not economically viable.
