Why do I always win 15 points and always lose 25 or more

Dear all,

I'm not a whiner (or I think that i'm not :p) but why is it that I every time lose far more points then I gain when I win. This just doesn't add up. Am I doing something wrong? Is it normal to lose more than you gain. If so, what happens to points I lose to other players....

Does anyone have an opinion on this?

Thanks

Because you play people of a lower rank. If you beat me in a game you'd win about 40 points (and I'd lose 40).

To work out how many points you will win/lose do:

(losers score/winners score)x20

You should give the Canada map a try. You know, just to mix things up a bit.

The points to be awarded is calculated as (loser's score / winner's score) * 20, up to a maximum of 100 points from each opponent.

--From the Instructions.

The more opponents you play in a game (that you win) the more points you get, since you get them from each opponent.

You seem to play 95% of your games in 1v1. If you win, you only get points from your one active opponent (you don't get points for playing neutrals).

The rest of the answer is just math.

Hey I like the Canada Map, I think it's the best one around. I've played more then enough other maps and 3,4- to 8 players. But those statistics are irrelevant to my question. So please...

But thanks for the other reports: CC suddenly makes more sense!

well... you do need to play higher ranks for the point loss/gain to even out more... and, perhaps a new map... the canadian exchange rate severely affects the awarding of pts. so, for instance, if you were playing on the France map, your point percentage would be greater than it is on the Canada map... anyway, good luck searching out higher ranked games to make your canadian wonderland all the more enjoyable!!!-0

It took me over 500 games to understand the scoring system as well.

Whats wrong with the canada map?
I like the canada map as well, but it's all you play?
If you need diversity, maybe suggestion from me, a canada map lover, may spice up your experience here?

In no order:
-Classic.
-Canada
-Montreal
-North america
-Europe
-Siege
-Sometimes: philipines-greater china (both not so great in my opinion)
Recently started San francisco, it looks really good and the alcatraz thing is cool. :-p

Oh shut up.
Your rank is really low and you're complaining.

Try losing 96 for a loss and gaining 4 for a win.
Eh?

Just play games with more players and you'll win more points, and if you cant win those games; you dont deserve the rank you have.
