Yeah, i know it's kinda lame, but I came up with this question... I want to see if anyone can get my answer or possibly a better one than I have... So, here's the question:

How many cards can one player conceivably hold at the same time?

I believe I have the correct answer but if anyone can think of a way to get more than what I am thinking of I would like to know

9? you have 4 then wipe out someone who had 5 and was waiting to cash in? can't think how you could get more than that

ya 9 is the most you can have at one time

EDIT: actually you can have a lot more but it aint going to happen willingly

Ahh what was this...it was in the 20's i know..hmm

i think the answer is 29

you can have 8 people, one with 5 and 7 with 4. one of the 4s kills the 5 then has nine. but then another 4 kills that guy before they cash then they have 13 etc etc

If it's freestyle.. 33?

Hm, imagine freestyle Battle Royales on large maps...

I'm pretty sure the theoretical maximum is 33 cards for an 8 player game...

7 players with 4 cards and 1 with 5.

player 1 takes out player 2 with 5 cards, but does not cash and lets time expire, ending with 9 cards.
player 3 takes out player 1, lets time expire with 13 cards (4+9)
player 4 takes out player 3, 17 cards (4+13)
player 5 kills player 4, 21 cards
player 6 kills player 5, 25 cards
player 7 kills player 6, 29 cards
player 8 kills player 7, ends game with 33 cards

therefore, the most someone could actually cash in one turn would be 29

don't know whether this would work in terms of deadbeating order. But there may be a way similar to this.

your 2v2v2v2 solution is interesting but player 8 cannot take out player 5 if he already has 5 cards. So, I think 35.
