I'm really really really bad at it after 23 maps I still don't have a clue.

Only reason I play it now is due to touraments

i only played it once or twice and love it. its so large that fluke alone can lead to victory. the only reason i dont play it 2 often is the goes take 4 time longer than in classic!

i also heard that once their are like 4 or more players in it, lucky rolls have a minimal overall effect on the game result!

ok stupid question here, but where do you find thsoe statistics for map ranks/how many you've won/lost on a particular map? thanks:)

By installing Map Rank (I think its called that). One of the many nifty designed tools laying around here somewhere.

Because of this and other threads mentioning it, I downloaded it as well. Interesting stuff but not exactly accurate. It shows me having a rating about 150 pts less than I do.

I'm sure this has been discussed elsewhere?

It's because some of the game logs are still missing from the server trouble on Father's Day. When the logs are restored, it should correct itself according to chipv.

ok, I'm going to search for map rank's link so that I can download the script and use it or better yet, is there anybody who can assist by leaving the link here?

There are 2 reasons for the discrepancy:

1 is the recent downtime problems :

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=53817&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=120#p1402754

which is being resolved.

2. There were some missing logs in March which won't be recovered.

Once 1 is resolved, you will then have a permanent offset between Map Rank and Real only if any of your game logs went missing in March. This won't change so if you calculate this once, then you'll know this is the amount you will always be offset from the real points. I couldnt see the point in faking the total by looking at the profile so I've left it alone.

Just want to point out that the discrepancy is only with the points.

Win/Loss/%age, Unique defeats and medals are fine.

Well, based on map rank I've played 49 games and won 40 games ...out of 33 games where I've gone first, just lost 3 games on World 2.1 map.

So far, I'm not so sure whether I like it or not ...the verdict is still up in the air.

W 2.1 is easily one of my favorite maps to play. It's size definitely figures into the equation of what I like about it and the length of the games is no big deal. Instant gratification isn't very important to me while surviving an epic war on it can be very satisfying.

Most welcome - yours is by far the best Map Rank I've seen.
On the scoreboard, you've got the second highest percentage wins I can see in the top 250...

Can somebody who already have the script installed do me a favor?

I have the silver medal for standard, so my score has to be between 100 and 400, but I have no bloody idea whether it is 103 or 290. Please, tell me how much unique defeats I have.

(I need to know whether I have a chance to earn gold one in a reasonable time, or should I learn to love the silver one )

Upgrade to FF3 immediately, you'll be amazed at the speed.

World 2.1 is fun, but it's even more fun when you play Assassin in a Haystack!

That's right, World 2.1, eight players, Assassin, Fog on. Until you've spent a week scouring every corner of the map to find your target's last guy in Madagascar and being protected by three other players, you have not lived.

+1 I love the epic games and W2.1 offers that.

The ONLY problem I have with W2.1 is the fact that in 17 finished games and 3 active games, I have never started the game with more than 2 countries in Europe. I would love the opportunity to try to win a game starting in Europe because I have never seen anyone do so. I'm sure its been done, just not in the 17 finished games I have been part of. It seems that I always get starting positions around China or Mexico which has become quite boring.
