Join a game with the settings of Standard 6 player. The rest of the settings dont matter. And try and join a game with a lot of really good people (good rank) Play the game. If you win, you get 100+ pts. If you lose, you lose about 20 points. Large games are the way to go if you want to get better.

Are you serious??? (Nothing against you, of course.)
And another thing you forgot to mention: high win rate

Next you will suggest not losing to weak players.

Dont give up, Lucena, play here is always getting better. I lost my first 6 games, and now I have 8 wins and 8 losses.
And one more thing: where are you from? Your name seems to be Brazilian.
OOPS!!!

Great job being condescending fellas. I only just arrived and you've saved me the trouble of wondering who the pompous ones here are. [/ touche]

You know, this isn't really a way to get good only a way to increase your score. Sometimes these are the same but not always...

Unfortunately romber, when you play against high ranked players its also very difficult to win, so overall less wins X more points per win will come out to equal more wins X less points per win. In addition, i think most high ranked players prefer to knock the lower ranked players out first because if they lose to someone ranked high they don't lose as much.

True^^ But this is Risk and sometimes those dice just dont roll right and you lose retarded fights. (12 losing to 2) However after playing just a couple games with kusoniki (sp) I realize how you sweep the board in 1 turn. You just take out the weaker people, cash in their cards, take out the next weakest, cash in cards etc. But in general if you want to increase your rate quickly join 6 player games instead of 3 player games.

Well I didn't think that was so obvious.. Until you pointed that out I didn't know that. I really didn't know how the scores were taken, and still don't for that matter (how much you gain, how much you lose..). I guess I just don't care about that as much as just playing for the hell of it... (I just know someone out there is thinking "psh, obviously you "don't care" cuz your rank is so low and you lose a lot")

Yeah I think your post was great... it's nice to have people share the wealth of tips and tricks to use to help you improve, whatever form of improvement you are looking at.
Ignore Marv, I've seen him post alot now and he is just full of himself.

whoa, ok that post was hard to follow.. Suddenly you're talking like you don't know english. Or is that supposed to be some way of insulting him through acting stupid.. I dunno. Where are you from Marv?

Marv that had nothing to do with our game, only from what I've obsurved in your responses to other people on the forums. I've moved on from that game and would rather not talk about it anymore. You'ld make more friends on the forums if you just conversed a bit more friendly.

Hi, Chiater...
Im Brazilian, and live in Belo Horizonte (3rd Brazilian greatest city). And I know my English is really bad. I had a little problem with fishfleas in one game, so I was thinking he was ofending me because of it. But to me, its past already.
fishfleas, I dont want talk about that game, too. Any way, its not necessary say to anyone to ignore me (its a thing each person can do by himself/herself or no). The author of the topic agreed with me this is a little obvious, didnt you see? You are not being polite, are you?

It's nice to see some helpful hints. Sometimes the new players (like me) will wander over to the forums and learn a few things. Thanks for making us a little brighter.

Yeah, its nice people share what they learn about the game. Marv; if you dont have anything nice to say, or contribute with, why even bother posting?
