Are all games like Risk

Are all the games here played like Risk? I haven't heard of any of the other games here so I am asking if they are played in a similar way.

No, definitely not. The armies are deployed automatically that means there is no way to choose which territories to deploy by us.

There are so many maps unless it's Classic map then you're on familiar ground.

CC has its trademark freestyle game ie. all players play simultaneously except the last player who has ended the previous round last whereby Risk is just sequential.

Finally, speed game has a clock of 5 minutes per round for all players in freestyle game while it's for each player in sequential game.

Other than these, ...beware of features related to killer neutrals, artillery or the like bombardment, Homeland or Castle spawning bonuses, Calvary range attacks, special bonus which are map specific and etc.

Very few are played like the board game actually. The basic strategies for many are the same, but avid players of the board game that come here, are overwhelmed at how differently these games play out.

The simple fact that its played with strangers and has no real meaning changes everything. Also, the fact that the games can go on infinitely changes the entire game strategy also.
