I have 3 speed games up for half an hour and not a single person has joined? Is it because I'm a major? Is it because Doodle Assassin is the only interesting thing to join these days? I'm bored...

A private jsut puts up 3 games and they are all joined within 2 minutes

I can't remember ever having an issue with you. BUT, there do seem to be an awful lot of complaints about 1v1 freestyle and foe lists, etc.

Two possibilities--

1. Folks are just getting tired of playing these game types.

2. More people who take vacations play this type and this is a "natural" pause.

3. More jerks are attracted to these game types, so foe lists are getting large enough to impact numbers of games available. (self -evident ... if games are there, but you cannot join ... this might be the cause)

4. Something about you specifically. If it is YOUR games, specifically, that are being avoided, this might be the cause. This could be anything from you being a jerk (not accusing .. just saying its a possibility) to you winning consistantly (losing to the same person over and over and over gets a bit tiring) to folks just not liking your play style (in freestyle, usually that means you wait until they hit "begin turn" and start deploying right after they do, etc.).


Suggestion -- just try some other games/settings, at least for a while. (from another thread, I believe you are doing this).

I think everyone just knows they'll lose against me. I see GoVegan's games there for hours and never get joined, just becasue he's a colonel playing a big map.

Yes, definitely. Either that, or maybe he's just a higher rank, and low ranking members are more likely to be intimidated by his badge. One of the two.

Personally, I don't play many speed or freestyle games.

My games sit for 15 - 20 minutes max... i just create a new one as soon as one starts.

yeah very funny GoVegan, but you must get tired with waiting. You never joined my games on ANY other map and I only ever made one on Rail USA which I dropped after 20 minutes.

Stop complaining, if people don't want to play with you, then something is obviously wrong and I'll give you 3 guesses as to who has the problem. Maybe you should figure that out before you complain to the entire community. We have a choice not to play games with you, therefore, we know what we're doing. Whining about it will not make more people join your games, it will just make people do this -- and then promptly remember to find another game rather than to join yours. You're bringing the wrong kind of attention to yourself, Kemmler.
