Now that I have astonishingly completed 15, thats right, fifteen, games, I have discovered the best approach to playing Conquer Club. Four simple words: LOOK AT THE MAP. Seems that all my mistakes related to failing to see what was happening on the map. I would develop a general plan that I would try to execute on my turn, failing to notice that the strategy wouldnt work because circumstances changed. Or I would get into a long battle with one opponent and ignore that another player was building strength and would then steamroll over me. I know wisdom comes slowly, its taken me many weeks. I feel its my obligation to share this hard earned knowledge that comes from vast experience. I am sure everyone will want to thank me. (I dont know why it is, but everyone seems to think I am such an amazing person. So I am used to the excessive praise.) But save the server's resources and dont fill this forum with your thanks. I know how you feel!

Well, if you play foggy games where there are no troops in sight, like Feudal or AoR, then that wouldn't help... you'd have to look at the game log, not the map

If you are going to stoop to use facts to disprove my conclusions, well, I'm just going to have to ignore them.

Maybe we could combine the two methods and conclude that looking at the map as well as at the log and planning one's moves from there is the best method for winning games.

stay out of fights with people that are stronger than you, and try to "snowball" in escalating card games (knock out a weaker player, take their cards and try to knock out the next weakest player, etc. sometimes you can finish everyone in one turn)

um... there are a lot of possible scenarios where not attacking the strongest player will just make it easier for them to win.

Attacking the strongest player is often the best method to win. But you need the accomplish of at least one other player...
After this you'll see the game is more balanced and there will be in the most cases another strongest player..., it could be you!!
And then it starts all over...

My favorite strategy is to hold onto a continent bonus, attack on territory each turn (for the card) and just build up your borders until you think that you can eliminate one of your opponents. If it's escalating, eliminating a player is even more useful.

Wow, you a confident. Your advice of looking at the map is obvious at least. 15 games and you think your an allstar? No one with any common sence would thank such stupid advice.
