Robinette's BIG Secret

But those who do would say I am something of a Risk purist...
you know, mostly 6 player Classic escalating...
But I am ready to share a BIG SECRET with you all...
I HAVE played OTHER genre... YES, IT IS TRUE...
For example, would you believe that I've played a whopping 30 team games...
That's right... THIRTY! A BIG THREE OOOO on the career team stats!
Winning 16 from 30(53%) for a net gain of +93 points.
That's a NET GAIN people... NOT a negative number...
Yeah, I know... that surprised ME more than you... trust me...
I mean, just look at the last team game that happy2seeyou talked me into playing...
Anybody who's familiar with team games can spot the lack of a coordinated attack right off.... Now don't blame happy for this, cause let me tell you, that girl plays a mean team game... but on this fateful day she had Robinette for a team partner...
well.... let's just say she had her work cut out for her in that game... I can still remember her shouting out "Noooooo... this is a team game, we don't DO IT THAT WAY in team games...."
And I've actually played some no card games too... YES REALLY, I'M SERIOUS... I'VE PLAYED 23 NO CARDS GAMES... uh huh.. YES... that's just ONE shy of 2 DOZEN games!!! And NINE victories (39%) for +68 points... and for the record, it's actually 29 if you count the 6 no cards team games I've played... but we already talked about my team game skills above... Below is a screen shot from the MOST EXCITING No Cards game I have ever played... just look at that action...
Actually this game went really well for me... see, I'm the green one, putting out lots of steam and in the lead... It did take a terribly long time to get to the finish line, but you are looking at one of NINE No Cards victories for me... I am quite proud of that one, actually, just look at the competition... I steam rolled them..
Which brings us to 2 player games.......................... -err, well, I haven't ACTUALLY PLAYED any 2 player games, but I have participated in 3 player games....... -err, well, only 2... but if we include 4 player games then let me tell you, I have a game portfolio..... THAT'S RIGHT, if we look at ALL games with 2, 3, AND 4 players then we're looking a total of .... 21 games ... with 8 victories (38%) for a net of *sigh* MINUS 7 points... OKAY, but if we add ALL THREE 4-player team games, then we get 24 GAMES... AND THAT, my friends, IS A FULL TWO DOZEN... so with 10 wins (42%) it brings me up to a net of *double sigh* -6 points ... mnnnn... Darn, That is still MINUS Points....
Sadly those MINUS points tell the story all too well... in some of those games I was thinking 6 player strategy and got hosed, and in others it was a combination of bad luck and more bad luck... Like the time my wheels fell of during a 4 player escalating Tournament of Champions game won by Gozar... You just can't come back from that in a 4 player game...
Well, I just wanted everybody to know that I had experimented with other games... but as you can see, I never inhaled...
