A suitably pompous title i thought
To keep this brief:

I still think, for whats it worth, that wicked's firing seemed unjust.
However, over the weekend, i began to get a bad taste in my mouth -and not just the usual. I was as guilty as most, if not more, on the personal attacks front.
And this is the point: Lets stop the personal attacks on Twill and Lack.
Rational debate, and civilised argument is always the most effective way to DURABLE change. Unless there is something FUNDAMENTALLY wrong with the system (USA 1770s, RUssia 1917 etc).
That isnt the case here. I still have crticisms as to the way this site is run -more genuine listening to the community, for example, and greater openness -but the system itself, a small group of mods/admin is fine.
And lets be honest -whether its fine or not, its here to stay.

But the key point -lets try and remember that we're all human beings, and theres no excuse for vindictiveness and viciousness, unless serious crimes have been committed. Since this is the internet, thats virtually impossible -no serious "crime" has been perpertrated, so there's no excuse for bile or trying to ruin peoples private lives.

So -lets continue to voice dissent and disagreement where appropriate -but lets keep it civil, and in proportion.

STOP THE PERSONAL ATTACKS.

This thread is a statement of intent -its basically saying while I will support wicked in any practical sensible measures, I will not be part of any immature and counter producitve smear campaign against the admins of this site.

What other people do is up to them -personally, I'm sick of fake, fantasy ego-inflating cyber nonsense -its a waste of time, and its causing a bad atmosphere on this site. Its also counter productive -the best way to change things is to make sensible suggestions, like Jiminskis Community moderation thing -which i admit i didnt really look at properly.
Shouting "Boo to the mods" is a laugh in flame wars, bu8t once personal info gets involved, a line has been crossed. Feelings can get hurt, and where's the fun in that?

You don't understand what the phrase "politically correct" means. It means (for example) saying "Petrol is bad" becuase the environmental lobby are the dominant political influence.
Yeah, i could slag off twill and Lack BUT I DONT KNOW THEM AT ALL, so whats the point, or fairness in that?
And you didnt read my post -I'm saying that i think that Admin have made some mistakes (don't we all?) but making personal attacks/releasing private info about admin is unacceptable.

Good! I think I've followed those very guidelines thus far. Though I admit I did call TWILL "TWILLDO" once. I ment no offence.

I guess this proves the revolution has quieted itself down. And some people believe in freedom of speech, but only for themselves. Bravo Juan!!!! (I wish my keeyboard had that upside exclamation point. It would have been funny to type that.)
