Yes, but it's not just that.

I've met about 4 deadbeats this month, probably not enough if I compare that with other players...

I've accually had a couple of New Recruits joining my Waterloo games recently.. other than that.. not really.

I think its just your Circus Maximus games ^^

Um, I dunno what else it's called. It's a thing for doing nuts up. It's just an expression, jamming up the machine, stopping things from working.

I have had slightly more newbies deadbeating, but it is also nearing the end of summer. Kids are getting bored, looking for things to do. We have had some serious storms here in the northeast also, so that a few more people are probably online right now who might otherwise be outside.

AND, because it is still summer, I would say chances of someone joining on a rainy day and then not checking back are greater ... either because they forget or things come up.

there was one day that i did encounter like 5 straight ?s when i started 1v1 games, but they all stuck around, had decent conversations, and got their asses whooped.. so i don't know if they were multis or if they were really just noobs

You can see from the graph above that deadbeat/newby/cocksuckers are up 13% this month. Analysts attribute this to the decline in the housing market.

I only had one public game..... 3 newbs joined and all dead-beat. None of them played a single round.

Thank you for reminding me of my butt-whooping. I have yet to be beaten that badly by anyone else. Awesome.

Well, almost all of my fifty or so games have been public, and there's been very little deadbeating, newbies or no. But about 8 newbies (from a total of ten or so) in the dozen or so games I'm playing have missed most or all of their moves.

I was just wondering if this could be a campaign of disruption?

Really, really? I hope you aren't saying that because of how badly PLAYER routed me. The whole game I never took a single territory. In fact, I don't think I ever won a role either. 1VS1 games, I have learned, can be very little fun.... Especially against PLAYER!

I'm not embarrassed. Baby Jesus just wasn't on my side that day. Some will win, and some will lose. Player thumped me, but I'll get her next time, maybe, if there's time....

But I guess we were the only one with dead-beater problems...

I've got three in a row. A week into the ga,me and were not done with round 2 yet.

I had three deadbeaters on a fully loaded standard/no cards/terminator/Conquer Man(first and last time playing it). Now the map is covered in neutrals, and no one want's to move. It's going to take forever. I am so glad I upgraded to premium. Would suck to have that game taking up one of my four.

well, I gues it's not so importatn if a CM game is full of neutrals, though it means it'll be ages before there's any strategy involved.
