Was Klobber banned?

Postby GabonX on Fri Aug 08, 2008 10:49 am

I tried clicking on his name on the scoreboard and it says "The requested user does not exist." Does anybody know what this is about?

He's either been permabanned or banned for a few days, but to answer your question, yes.

KLOBBER is on an extended forum vacation due to his activities over the past couple weeks after being warned on numerous occasions about his behavior. As of this moment, it is not a permaban, just a very long vacation. When he returns, he will be on a short leash and if he does not change his ways further action will be taken then.

For now, let's all take a little time to freshen up the forums and make this place as enjoyable as it used to be before this recent invasion of craziness and hostility, shall we?

So is he banned from playing in/starting games or just on the forums? It's still a little unclear..

altought when you're on a "forum vacation" its a little annoying because when you join a speed game it automatically drops :( so you cant play speed games UNLESS you are the last person to join the game.

Interesting, didn't know that. On the other hand, being such a lovely person, I wouldn't know what a "forum vacation" entails... :D Sounds strange though.

Anyways, guess that isn't much of a hassle if your sole purpose in life is to start standard 8-player circus maximus games automatically dropping them if anything other but a ? joins...

This is getting really annoying. He's NOT gonna change his ways, he'll just make a pathetic attempt to continue the same behavior a little more subtly. I'm getting tired of this now now, bad Klobber, you get banned for a week bullshit. It's pretty obvious he would've got a permanent forum ban long ago if twill wasn't playing favorites. To make it even worse, suggs got 6 months for an offense everyone would agree wasn't as bad as what Klobber did to earn himself either of his recent bans. If Joe Bloe joined CC and posted his phone number in his profile, and then suggs posted it, he'd have got a week. But since it's LACK's phone number, he get's six months. Over 25 times what Klobber's was. And Klobber flamed half of CC outside of Flame Wars, trolled blatantly, attempted to derail any thread he didn't like (with much success), and tried to bring down half the mods.

I don’t think you need to worry about that. I have a hard time seeing that Klober would be favored by any of the mods. After all, this guy surely takes up a lot of time and energy for those guys (with seemingly no, or at least very little, positive contribution given back to the site). On the contrary, the fact that Klober is still around shows indeed that this site is open to more or less all people and that people are not kicked out for other than a very good reason.

You need to take a deep breath though and come to terms with the fact that life isn’t fair and that there is no such thing as a yardstick justice. If you accept that, I think you’ll see that the CC mods are quite consistent and fair. Suck it up cupcake.

Quite honestly, since you, I, and everyone else on this site know exactly what's going to happen, just enjoy the time that Klobber's gone, and know that eventually, he'll get a permaban, it'll just take a while...

Exactly. All the other mods hate him, so he must have someone protecting hi, and the only one with the power and motive is twill.

wow... that is a stretch... i actually know 3 mods that find him humorous... so, please tell me where you get all your information from, because it sounds like you have a mole, a true inside source. klobb's got the ban he deserved, period. he'll serve it out, and be right back here doing the same thing. however, in his free time, i wonder how many circus games he'll complete!!!-0

I don't have info, but who else has the power to protect him after all the shit he's been doing? And he was basically Twill's sole advocate after wicked got fired. Who thinks he's funny? And anyway that isn't enough. I admit he's funny, but he's also annoying as f*ck, and look at the shit he's been doing recently.

What?
Suggs got banned for posting information about LACK that is so easily available on the net?
I knew this phone number before he posted it.
Not that I condoned what he did but im seeing lame stuff going on around here at times.

Ive seen mega-trolls not even get a tiny ban.

Ignorance sure is bliss.

Klobber didn't get a week; he's already had that one. Try 6 months.

That's more like it. But if you think that's gonna change his future behavior, you just don't learn. Look what happened last time:
He flamed blatantly outside of FW and trolled. He got banned. He comes back. He continues those same behaviors, but with pathetic attempts at being subtle about it. He gets banned again. Repeat.
