Does anyone do any role playing games? Like, you are a world leader or something, or some general.
I don't mean the occasional general-type remark, i mean full on role playing.
I think it would be fun, and would make diplomacy much more interesting.

I would be... surprised, to say the least, if I joined a game and somebody started role playing. I think this may be one of those things best tried with your friends. Make sure to make a video of the LARPing. Don't forget to put it on youtube.

ermmm... I don't really get this... sounds very odd. I don't think you'll get much response either.

can you give us an example? i mean, i know there are a few guys that have made mock ups of their medals, and wear them pinned to their stained white t-shirts in their mom's basement while taking turns... to those guys, it is truly paradise... ahem... but are you talking role playing in the game chat? hmmm... jbrettlip wears his dad's old army uniform with his rank pinned to it, while we take turns on skype... it is kind of creepy, but he enjoys it, so what can i say? can you be more specific?-0

I role-played in this game, but haven't done so since. People just don't seem to dig it. At least not those Esc 8 player jerks. Damn jerks.

This sounds like a question best suited for happy to answer...for obvious reasons
Although I once pretended to be a pirate and ninja simultaneously, and then me and my mates pwned the grim reaper....would that qualify?

Anyway, I can see where roleplaying might be fun if you use diplomacy alot, and make alliances and everything, but also you would have to start with the same territories that the actual general or whatever stared with, which would mean no random drops, and obviously, certain "characters" (for loss of a better word) would be more popular simply because they would start with better territories or bonus's. Even if you wouldn't start with the same territories, it would just be sort of wierd. I would suggest that this might work better on an actual board game with your friends... Good Luck

my wife brought home a bad report card last week, and I had to spank her. She likes it though. But never during CC. I take THIS crap seriously.
