auto-attack reform

I think that auto-attack would be better if it stopped when you lost armies, but continued to roll each time you win 2: it would be an effienct way to attack territories that you intended to conquer.

I don't think that there is anything special about auto-attacking. The risks you take are the same as if you hit "attack" several times in a row. I don't think that this reformed auto-attack would necessarily exclude any risks that make the button special.

I am unsure about how the stop mechanism would work. I know nothing about the random number generator. Why couldn't the system stop after a pre-determined number of armies were lost?

This should probably go in Suggestions.

And I think something was suggested a year ago where you could specify the number of armies lost at which you wanted to stop, but it wasn't implemented... although it might be on a to-do list somewhere, I don't know.

i don't get what this is all about... if you don't like auto-attack, just press attack...

There's a CM option, although I've only used it once by mistake, where you can preset an amount of armies to auto attack. Might want to go to the thread and find out for sure. For instance you have a stack of 30 to attack, you enter like say 10. Once you've reached that amount it stops but not sure how it accounts for +/- 1 army tho'. Guess it would stop at 9 once you took 11 vs X and lost 2 rolls for that attack.

I wouldn't see how it would be useful outside of speed games.
