Why does this happen?

A person goes online for about 30 minutes - and hours, takes his turn in all of his other games, then sits and apparently does nothing (not his turn in any games but yours, did not post anything in that time), and leaves without taking his turn in your game only.
I see this happen plenty of times, and do not really understand why it happens. Do you leave the computer for a while then simply turn it off when you get back? Does an emergency occur or something?
Just trying to figure out why this happens.

I commonly do something else on the internet..and refresh My Games page to see if I'm up in anything.
That's a possibility, or that people are just reading the forums but not posting.

There are many possibilities, some of which aren't a problem when you only have 4 games at a time.
If I have a lot of turns to take, then I take the most urgent few first (if less than 10 hrs to go)... then I take the easy turns (especially ones where the plan was laid out earlier, either by myself or by the team)... then the hard ones often get looked at, and left for further cogitation, or (more importantly) for the further input/response of my teammates.
The other reason that I could take a long time is that I am logged in at work by may have to wait hours before I can take a turn that will take me more than 30sec.

It's most likely a difficult turn- either a kill or game changing play. Some wait to make sure they have enough time or at least not to be uninterrupted to ensure they don't make any mistakes. If it's a team game, they may want confirmation from their partner.

Yep, it mostly happens on really hard turns where they make one mistake and it really costs them. Never noticed that until now.

this is a common complaint from non-premiums that can only play 4 games. Unless it is a speed game, you have 24 hours to move or you forfeit your turn. Almost every non-premium expects everyone to sit there and play the game in full. I see a lot of non-premiums spending odles of time trying to figure out what everyone is doing and why players are not moving than they do actually playing their 4 games. they set their clocks to the exact time when it is their turn to move and sit there waiting for their turns for a big whopping 4 games. I dont understand why they spend that much time on the site for 4 games instead of just buying premium and using the same amount of time and effort for unlimited games.

I play from home and from work. I take a few turns at work, but in the more important games, I tend to wait til home, because I have BoB at home.

I must say premium is awesome.. although i can in one day spend hours on CC alone. Its well worth it.

i'm sure it's awesome, and i've often pondered paying the measly 25 dollars for it... but i'm afraid i'll just be consumed by my attempts to get all the medals like jr

i'm not already trying by playing pretty much all 1v1 games... and of my games with more than 2 players, they're almost all standard...
