permabann?

could someone explain permabann to me?

i have been in games with premium players who were permabanned and they have no profile, this makes no sense to me.
in terminator games i check profiles to see how many points my opponents have, if i'm playing all the same rank i'll go after who has the most points.

i dont understand why a player who is banned from the forums, but still has a premium account, would not have a profile.

Im sure its a by-product of the banning, not necessarily the goal of if

People who are banned (forum banned for a short period or permabanned) lose forum access. Since the profiles are on the same system as the forum, profiles are blocked as well. These players should still appear on the scoreboard if you would like to see their points. Another side effect is that you cannot friend list or foe list these people.

well that seams to be a flaw in the system then, if you cant friend/foe them

Yea it does but apparently it ain't a big enough issue to get fixed. :(

That issue may become fixed if/when the foe list is split for games and forums.
