How did i lose so many points in a low rounded game?

Usually in a low rounded game if I lose, i lose about 17-21 points. This time i lost 39? Im just wondering the math on this, and if it is right, how can i avoid this in the future.

Assuming you mean
Game 3160218.
The points that are won are calculated like this: (Loser's score/Winner's Score) * 20. Even though you don't have a lot of points, your opponent had a lot less, and thus you lose many points.

It has to do with how many points you have. The equation is (winners score/losers score)*20
To see the exact score, you need to click on their name and go to their profile. But for an estimate, look at their rank. For more information about ranks, see this here:

And the current cooks wouldn't be able to get out of their situation... they go and beat conqueror and end up with 4 points...

In two players game,
When you win the game, you earn ( Opponents Rating / Your Rating ) * 20 points
When you lose the game you lose ( Your Rating / Opponent's Rating ) * 20 points
Why you did lose that much is due to your opponent has very low rating, which is 610...and yours is above 1000...Now do not put your rating and your opponent's to find 39...You will get something close to 39 but not 39 i think..This is because the data fields above are filled and calculations are done with the ratings before the game ends. The current ratings are updated ratings and not gonig to give u 39 but something close to 39....You must be aware of your opponents ratings n the game you play andd then you can estimate the points you leave to him if you lose or points to earn from him if you win...
