Terminator Games Points

Many times you may not win the game outright, but get more points than the total winner. A little plus 12 points would be nice next to your name. Also why not make the person with the most points the game winner no matter who finishes.OK.

I can't tell if this is a suggestion or not..
If it is, not a horrible idea.

Very bad idea - you're suggesting that the person with the most points already gets more points (thus also contributing to more point inflation), why? Assuming that's what you mean by the +12 points. They already got the most points, they made the decision to go for the kills which would result in not winning the game, so tell me, why should they be rewarded for weakening themselves to that point? Ridiculous, if you ask me. If you want to go all out to kill someone, and leave yourself with like 5 armies, to be swept up by the third person, and somehow take credit for a win... when the other third person might have like 40 armies still on the field...

Maybe it's just me.

No idea why Fabled is taking this so personally. I think it's a great idea. My understanding of it is that you don't actually get 12 extra points, it just shows +12 next to your name if you have gotten 12 points. Also I've played terminators where someone does nothing the whole game and kills the last person, they get 20-odd points, and someone else 100. I agree the person with more points should be declared the winner.

Probably should be moved to suggs and bugs too

If your aim is to gain points, you've won the game you're playing.

But you haven't won the board you're playing.

Sometimes, if I know I can't be the ultimate champion in a terminator game, I'll take a bigger risk than usual to take out an opponent - or maybe, knowing I'm not going to win the board anyhow, I'll take someone out to salvage some points before my defeat.

Why would I be playing Terminator if I didn't sometimes make those decisions?

But it still doesn't mean I've won. Unless of course I do.

Bad Idea

that would increase the amount of stupid moves by cooks and question marks to target the highest rank on the board...they would gain the most and ruin the game.

So scenario - 4 cooks and a 2 colonels are playing a terminator together.

One of the colonel takes out 3 cooks, the last cook takes out the other colonel, and the first colonel takes out the last cook.

The cook who took out the colonel suddenly wins the game?! Because he gained more points than the guy who took out 4 players and should've won? Yeah that makes sense...

Again, just another suggestion that if implemented would be subject to abuse, and targeting the high ranks of games, etc.

I totally agree here. Terminator is fine how it is. Insom me and you both used to get targeted when we played terminator games.

i always play terminator just for the kills and points,i hardly ever win the map but when my rank gets pretty low it a sure way to bump up my points by a few hundred ,as so many players just try to be the last man standing(so id say keep it as it is)

?? Terminator games suit the lower ranks. I know as soon as i get to lieutenant I'm toast on terminator games as privates get a nice 30 pts for a kill.

Not complaining but I've got to where I am through playing mostly (70%) terminator games going for the lieutenants even if i lose the game i win.

I've seen me playing games and getting 80+ points and the winner getting 20 points.

Who is the real winner there? :D

More higher ranks would play public terminator games, but it is people like you who rank hunt that ruin it. The idea is to win the game, not get swept off the board after chasing points. Terrible plan if you ask me.
