Noob scoring question

Hey folks,
Can anyone point me to a detailed explanation of how one's total score is calculated? I see others who have won a similar percentage of games to me (I am just starting out) whose score is considerably higher. What gives? Are there ways of scoring points outside of game wins? Shouldn't someone with a similar percentage of wins have roughly the same score as me, since they are always losing a similar percentage of points consistently, despite having played many more games than me?
Or am I missing something?

Win percentage tells you nothing of how many players were in each game, or what rank they were.

Those are both factors that determine how many points you're awarded upon victory. Essentially, you get X points per player in game when you win. X is determined by the difference between your rank and the player.

There may be more to it than that, and certainly others are free to chime in and correct me.

If you look on the instructions page it says....

"Score

Conquer Club members are initially given a score of 1000. At the end of each game, the winner takes points away from each loser. The points to be awarded is calculated as (loser's score / winner's score) * 20, up to a maximum of 100 points from each opponent."

If you play a lot of 8 player games you can have a pretty high score with a low % of game wins..:)
