Concerning Tournament Prizes (Donations)

Hi, I've started a tournament and would like to award a premium membership to the winner. I originally intended to give a 6-month premium to the winner, which would be matched by the staff on CC, but I was told I couldn't award less then 1 full year myself.

Could someone clarify this issue for me? And if it's true that I must give a year myself this time, could I give 6 months using the credit I have matched in the future?

I'm sure someone with official status will clarify this but here is my understanding

If you give someone 12 months for winning a tournament then you get a 12 month credit for future tournaments. I believe the future credits can be broken up into as little as 3 months each.

If you want to do 6 months I suppose you could do so and just not get credit for the match.

Premium comes in 1 year increments only (you can get one month through referrals though...). You have to give one years worth of premium (costing 25 USD) or no premium at all.
