What's better for gaining points?

Postby This Is Sparta on Sun Sep 07, 2008 4:17 am

Which account status do you feel suits point gaining best? Freemium or premium?

When I was a premium member I found the urge to join more than 30 games, enjoying the abilities of unlimited games and the luxury of having a few turn waiting for me everytime I signed in. Wheras now I'm freemium I'm restricted to 4 games. However given the need to take turns almost all the time as a premium member, it becomes increasingly difficult to sustain a quality strategy at times. And of course, the poorer your turn taking the more games you are likely to lose. If you are freemium, more emphasis is placed on the 4 games so you are more likely to perform better in them and not rush the turns, hence a more positive point gain. My point is, the more time taken thinking over a certain turn, the better the turn will be. I feel freemium supports point gain best, wheras premium supports having fun in a multitude of games like speed games, unless of course you are premium and prefer keeping to a smaller amount of games.

What do you think?

i think if you have played over 400 games, like you have, and you are still a muffin top or piece of white bread or whatever that icon is, premium or freemium status won't really affect your rank much... it pretty much boils down to ability and how good you are at the game. there are plenty of freemiums on the top page that got there with never being premium. mikisdios and superrag are two of my favorite freemiums that are just great players and their score, rank, placement on the leader board, reflect it...-0

p.s.-yeah, see that you were a sgt. first class, but a point dump from first class to muffin top/white bread, isn't really that far of a fall from grace..

That piece of bread/muffin has more power than you would think, and yes, see my medals before flaming it. ;)

Map rank says that your top was 1389, which isnt sargent 1st class.
And to be honest, sargent isnt a rank where you're bigger than everyone, you get to throw your weight around, and that you're a fantastic player.
I think that luitenant or captain is average, or even major, so i dont think that you should be calling yourself "power" or "check out me bling of medals" - all 2 of them

Ok guys if this is gonna just be a topic discussing my account, I'm honoured, but it's not the topic at hand. If you're all just so idiotic and incapable of having a discussion, I don't see the point of this thread to be frank. Sorry that it was beyond your capabilities to have a discussion. And by refering to my medals, I'm proving that I ain't a crap player and that I've actually defeated 150+ people in legit games. As for my motto, get real seriously. Nerds.

Look, I was a private twice in my career, once when I started, and another time when I lost 8 or so games to bad luck. But in the later I was up to luitenant in less than 2 days without premium, and no crap like doodle assasins. You might have beaten a few people, yes, but honestly I have never found anyone with skill that is lower than a private, no matter what my rank was at the time (I have been a corporal for 90% of my time at conquerclub).

I would say it is not a problem getting up points without premium if you are good at the game, but a cook?! I do not even know how to get myself down that far. I mean, you will have some good luck, and that should keep you at least at a cadet or private, and then you win double the points you lose when you play against the average person.

You display a high level of ignorance. As has been mentioned in almost EVERY post in this thread, I dumped around 800 of my points in speed games.

Surely it doesn't really matter if my symbol is of a Chef's hat or a white pixel star on a red background; we all play this game and should be able to speak about it without getting flamed? You have all really proven yourselves to be snobs in my opinion.

dumped 800 points in speed games, well that explains how you got to a cook. but why would you have dumped the points anyways? (always wanted to ask this to someone who had done this, first chance to try)

Anyways, once you answer my question I will be able to make better judgement, but in all essence you are right we all play the game and should respect each other, but you are the person who has done the flaming in response to our opinions, which were not written in a maner befitting of flame wars... yet...
