Hey,

I thought I'd open a new thread about the things that have happened in CC that have really made you laugh and give you an opportunity to share them with us all.

They can be stupid things that have been said, done or witnessed by you or others you have played against, or just hilarious conversations you have had whilst playing. Maybe you have stories about forgetting turns, things you have done just to play a turn or things that have happened to stop you playing your turn... who knows where this may lead.

What got me to start this thread happened a few days ago. I was waiting for an opponent (I'll call him "Fred") to take his turn when I realised that Fred must be playing another game. I viewed his other games and found out that he was playing a 3 team Feudal War doubles game. One team (Player 1 & 2) had the upper hand with 3 castles at the expense of Fred's partner who had been eliminated and one member of the other team (I'll call him "The General") was trying to get Fred to join them and gang up on the 3 castles team... you with me? Anyway, Fred was not doing what the General wanted him to do (for whatever reason I don't know), when the conversation went like this...

The General: my god man what you do that for???????
Player 1: let every body play as he like
The General: grrrr that was insane
Player 1: y do u insist on having some one to do something u want?
The General: BECAUSE IM A MARINE ....!!!!!!!! CANT YOU FUGGIN READ LISTEN OR DIE
The General: HE DONT LISTEN SO HE DIES

I just couldn't stop laughing at this statement which amounted to... "I'M A MARINE!!! I KNOW HOW TO PLAY COMPUTERISED BOARD GAMES!!!! LISTEN TO ME!!!!!"

I'm sure you guys have much better tales to tell than this one, and I'm sure we would all love to hear them.

It's hard to top the player who reported a gameplay bug ... After bombarding the hell out of a yellow territory for several rounds land osing a bunch of armies, he realised something was obviously terribly wrong with the map because several times he had winning dice rolls. Turned out it wasn't a bug at all, just one tough neutral sob.

I just played the most amazingly funny game with t-o-m and a very drunk imcjb.

We set up a private game in Circus Maximus, built up our armies on one territory side by side and on Round 21 had a "race" once around the track. However, , when the race started I panicked and auto-attacked t-o-m's "car" and wiped him out, letting imcjb just waltz around unhindered...

What a laugh!

if that's the game i'm in with you Shatman, i think he was kidding. Legend is my target and i'm doing pretty shit.
