Up and Coming players

Postby Georgerx7di on Sun Sep 14, 2008 10:39 pm

I've been around for a little while, and have seen some good players come and go. I wanted to make a post, with my predictions for some of the next top players. I have a few guys in mind who show a lot of talent. Players who will move up the scoreboard, and do it by beating good players.

Downfall
erazor
Lindax

All three show skill in std seq esc games, which I think is the key to learning proper strategy for any style of play. Three conquerors came out of the RT games we used to play over a year ago, before I left. I hope that more will come out of these games. These three guys will likely make brigadier within the next year, so look for them as they move up.

Feel free to post your own choices for players that you see moving up fast. My three choices are currently majors.

Just so you know George, the horses I've backed have hit the top 10.

I do like Lx's game.. solid and most importantly patient. Good sign that a player can see a few rounds in advance.

Dat_Wat_She_Said is my newest stud- has a lot of skills in team games and escalating. Although I think he has a good shot at Conqueror, I won't be so bold as to say it just yet ; but I do think he will make it big. Keep it up Dat.

Without sounding err .... I think the transition from singles to team games would be easier than team to singles. Granted it requires different skills in each game type.

Well thank you for the compliments George and Scott, you're not too shabby yourselves

I personally would like to be an all-round player, working on my freestyle skills at the moment....

I agree with the mentioning of Downfall, DAT_WAT_SHE_SAID and LFAW....

Oh, that's funny, the four of us are members of ++The Legion++! THE up and coming clan of cc 8-)

Sun Tzu wrote "managing many is the same as managing few...it is a question of division." Players who have played against me in both standard or team games can attest that I try to follow this principle regaurdless of game style...Many players think the real skill come from standard match-ups as opposed to team, I say skill come from both...I find there is more chance in freestyle and or escalating games then in no cards or sequential...freestyle games favor gankers or players with fast connection while in escalating games if a person can count and see connections of territory on a map then any noobs can win...

Rich. Right now you've paid ~14,5 cents for each completed game (JR has paid ~0.006 cents).
