Game 3230257, this is just one example of like 20 negitives I have recieved...is there anyways to clear them? is it right to be rated negitively simply for winning? Is there some way to punish those who leave negitives simply because they are poor sports?
I sort of agree with DM, but not entirely.
I play almost ALL random public games. In over 4000 games, I have had only about 4 or 5 bad experiences.
MOST people don't rate badly when they lose. So, either you have had very bad luck OR maybe they are rating something other than just the fact that they lost.
I don't know you, so I am NOT saying this is true, just saying you might think about it. First, are you sure it really IS a "bad" rating? Just because you got something less than a 5 does not mean you were rated "badly". If the rating is 3 or up, then it is probably a decent rating, unless they put a negative tag onto it. Some people feel average is ... average and not a negative. If the rating is 1 or 2, see if they checked any tags and really think about whether they are true or not. If that does not help, you might try just asking the person why they rated you the way they did.
If they don't answer or you don't want to ask, think about what you did and see if there might be something else there.
Do you egg people on, brag about winning or are you friendly, offer some sort of sympathy if someone has really bad dice? What you consider a joke might be insulting or rude to someone else. The group here is VERY diverse, representing all kinds of cultures (and just looking at country of origin is not enough ... people migrate for one thing).
Are you using foul language? Even "mild" stuff will upset some (though I doubt that would account for 20 negatives!)
Did you miss turns Missed turns is mostly part of attendance now, BUT if someone feels you are using it as "strategy" or such, they may take offense ... particularly if you miss and then come in to win.
Did you take a very long time to play? Granted, taking the allotted time should NOT be reason to rate someone down, but some do this.
I cannot possibly list everything. As I said in the beginning, you might try asking the people you played why they rated you the way they did. AND don't think that just because you got something less than all 5's you were rated "badly" ... that just is not so!
In the end, you have to decide if you want to play these folks again or not. You can always put someone like this on your ignore list. OR maybe you need to play differant game types. It seems, just based on complaints here in the forum, that those who play freestyle are a bit more competetive than others. (which does NOT mean everyone who chooses that type is a bad sport by a long stretch ... a very few "jerks" can make a huge impact on even a large group).
