Formula for winning percentages

I'm not a mathematician but is there any way a general rule could be formulated as to what percentage of games one would have to win to break even with someone rated 200 to 400 points lower than him in terms of the number of players in a game? In 1vs1 obviously it takes more wins to break even with someone ranked lower.

Far too complicated because it would change endlessly, for example you would lose more points if you had 1200 points and lost to a 1000 pinter than if you had 1400 and they had 1200. Simple rule of thumb against players with similar points 3 player - 35% 4 player - 25%
5 player - 20% Beat those percentages and you are ahead of the game.

Agreed. There are way too many variables involved, especially when you consider dynamic point-scoring in Terminator games, not to mention the fact that an 8p win equals 7x2p wins. A general equation could be rendered, but the variables involved would be impossible to calculate given the pseudo-random nature of people joining games

As people have mentioned, its about how many players etc.
