Deferred Troops

This has probably been discussed before, but the issue of deferred troops bugs me. Why does someone who skips turns get rewarded with deferred troops?

maybe at least there's a compromise whereby they only get the troops allocated according to the number of territories but not the bonuses allocated to continents or something. It makes it too easy, esp. in speed games for people to skip two turns then come back and hammer the crap out of someone after collecting 10 or 20 deferred armies.

The reason deferred armies are given is because "real life happens". If someone's internet goes down, or if there is an emergency, it is not the player's fault. So lack is being generous to those people and allowing them to receive "some" of the armies that they are owed. If someone has a continent and misses a turn, but after their missed turn loses the continent, they do not receive the armies for the continent. The same rule applies for territory count. My advice would be to attack the player who missed the turn. Also, the person who missed the turn can only deploy these armies on one territory and only at the end of the turn. So it does not give them an advantage until the following turn.

if you don't like the bonuses they are collecting, then break them. if you don't like the number of armies they are going to collect for their spread, then limit them. it is a simple solution. if someone misses, make them pay for it. period.-0

They dont get 'rewarded', they get what they worked for.

The person shouldn't be hurt extra for missing a turn. When a person misses a turn it is very bad for them, even though sometimes it may not seem like it.

They also might have missed a turn due to an emergency and im sure you wouldn't want to lose a game because of an emergency (ha i made it sound like CC was more important than an emergency, well it is)

Rate someone bad for Gameplay if they miss too many turns, or give them bad Fairplay if they use it unfairly to their advantage. But then if they pull a very strategic move by missing a turn, as i do sometimes, maybe they should be given an extra star on gameplay.
