I'm sorry, I don't quite understand... Check your settings for clickable maps, there may be something there (in game, just under your Personal Menu [BOB Menu if you have it]).

activate either HUD on bob or action menu on CM. this is float your drop down boxes and stop the redirects

I think there isn't anything against it. After every advance screen jumps to the Action box and that's it. Though I'm not expert, maybe there's something against the screen moving.

just do one of these things

Yup, that do it. You might need to disable it when playing maps like waterloo though, just when you are figuring out where to attack, as the HUD can take up half the map.
