I care about my rank since it allows me to join private games with other high ranked players. this is mainly cuz I want to play with good players, but it also means I won't get noobed because of my rank.

When I got up to captain, I just hated my name next to that symbol, I just thought that the combination looked horrible. then I changed my avatar, and the little diamond looks better now.
