Conquer Club

I was planning on gracefully leaving Conquer Club and go somewhere else to play. There are at least three other sites that I know of where one can play the "Classic" map online but after playing on each of them, I realized that their setups and game play can't come close to that of CC in my opinion. I will certainly miss the Classic map but the ease of play here outweighs all other advantages.

My only desire is that someone will create a world map maybe similar to World 2.1 but smaller.

i love the honesty in this post. one question. did non-paying members have as much access to the site and maps as you do here on CC? not being a smartass, just truly wondering what freemiums get in other places.-0

yeah except for the fact that the usa map is USA only, whereas classic is the whole world.

Yes. Just try to imagination that your playing on the other five continents that Classic contained. It's not that hard, is it?

The only similarity is that its +2 continents have the same characteristics. The continents in between are way off.

Why is it that people who nobody knows anything about and hardly ever post come to the GD and start threads that say, "I am going to leave the site because classic is bad" or now "I am not going to leave the site"

Whoever you are, you must be some person of great significance. I would have spent months wondering why you are playing the site, like you have been doing the past year. I know one site allows four games at a time. The other two I couldn't even tell you. They were so bad I didn't even check out all the details. Grand Strategy which has the best "Classic" and the one found on Risk II is much sub par in game play in my opinion. I can see why Conquer Club has been as popular as it has been now.

Let me add. The only reason I don't join is because I don't wish to let my time be too occupied with this game though I have been tempted more than once. If one enjoys Risk like games, the price of membership here is very reasonable. I do believe allowing 4 free games in the long run increases the paying customers.

I am aware that that did not contribute, but the thing is, if everyone posts when they are leaving conquerclub, our forum will be full of spam and half of the actual threads will be drowned in it.

If people start posting about every times they are thinking about leaving cc, and then decided against it, we will not have a forum at all since there will be a new thread every minute. I am just trying to explain how ridiculous it is to the people that think they are contributing.

But I will try to avoid such comments in the future and let the thread die as it will if you have a problem with me stating exactly how ridiculous and pointless the thread is.

Pests: someone meanders into the forum one time and sees a thread saying they were thinking of leaving and deciding against it and start a new one themselves saying the same thing because they do not realize that it is a rare thread made by people who think they are important (which I do not believe of myself, for the record), repeat the process.

Well, if you were trying to say that there is no good alternative to cc, then I would agree. You may then disregard my first post. I have trouble finding the true meaning of things when people change what they are saying halfway through the post.

This is a place to post our thoughts,ideas and experience regarding CC and I would hope other topics.

The OP brought valid up points with his personal experience.

We post here because as humans we have the need to communicate. Having an opinion doesnt make me right but they at least help me choose which peons to ignore.

I often do post too quickly, although most of the time I press the "reply" button, I end up deleting the post after I re-read it. A few like that get past though, and I end up offending people, or something of the sort.

By the way, you are the first person in my memory to ever use the word "peon" while referring to me. I probably missed one or two odd instances, but I am sure owen will look them up for me. I always wondered why no one ever called me a peon before... Anyways, congratz.

there are alot of topics slagging cc off at the moment cos of the classic (for want of a better word) scenario so when some-one comes and posts how good the site is (which we all really know but like bitching about from time to time) in comparison to others it puts in perspective how classic map really doesnt matter in terms of gameplay and the wide choice of maps and different gameplay we have here

Well, if you read my post, you will see that I posted nothing at all about anything being of interest to Lack, and I would disagree completely about that this forum is for Lack's own entertainment. Just because I say "someone will care" you automatically assume that someone is Lack? Well, that is surely flawless logic, can't compete with that.

True 'dat yo. I've never played on any of the other sites, and I don't know what they are like. I've heard good things about them, and bad (mostly bad) and with Classic, my main map, gone, I have contemplated checking out another site... But this unbiased consumer testimonial makes me think otherwise. Yes, I won't waste my time with Landgrab or GrandStrategy now.

ive only played at one of the competitors sites....

while there are some options that are interesting, i didnt even play there when I had a premium.... and the other ones that I tested, werent even close

theres nothing like this place....while not all agree with the way its run, its focused more on keeping it like a club, than any other site ive seen.

you cant beat this place...not the game, the settup, maps, but most importantly, the people.

Did you read my last post, then? In it, I specifically stated that I agreed I did not understand the post at first, and that I have been spending the rest of the thread explaining that I already admitted to that I did not understand it in the second post.
