What Happens If No Score?

Ok, I have been playing a bunch of games and lately I have had the same thing happen. It goes like this.

  • I am building toward something (block of area, terminating a player, winning game, etc)
  • I deploy a large block of armies (say over 10, sometimes as high as 30)
  • I begin my reigning down of terror of my plan to take X (from the first part)
  • I get within one or two territories of taking my goal (and it is always 1 or 2)
  • A lone territory with 3 or less guys (usually 1 guy) knocks out my army (usually at a strength of 12 or more)
  • Next turn someone turns in cards and cleans me off of the game even though it means they have to stomp over my sometimes 20 or more territories (not all having 1 army)
Now, I would love to complain about the randomness of the dice as this has happened very often in my last several games, but I will table that as I have seen others complain and it is what it is. My more important question is what will happen if this trend continues and my now 700 something score drops down to 0. I could not find it in the rules or the facts anywhere. I ask this because not too long ago I was in the 900 and now I am down to 700 and dropping rapidly. One could say that I suck and that could be a valid statement, but I would prefer to think that I was getting better and then the randomness of everything has just not helped me lately.

Just asking?

Thanks,
JH

when you get to 0 you can never gain points and nor can people win points off you

but i think the lowest you can go is one

but no-one is that bad without it being deliberate

Score does not drop to 0, the minimum is 1. Also, the people that low of the scoreboard are losing on purpose, I would think. 100 points per win, 1 points a loss... no one is that bad.

Don't worry. The dice should even out eventually, on a bad streak myself. GL
