Well, according to the medals page, it says,
"Awarded to members that defeated 5 unique opponents on each of X maps"
What does X maps mean? Defeating 5 people on every map?

X maps is in reference to the total number of maps you have defeated 5 unique opponents on. For example:
X = 20 Maps for Bronze Medal
X = 40 Maps for Silver Medal
X = 60 Maps for Gold Medal

dont ask why now, long story it is maybe not...
go and install FireFox 3.0 then start to use it as your default browser....
You will findd out the necesity of that soon....
You will probably need map rank addy which runs under the firefox browser...
What is map rank ? It is a tool which calculates almost everything about the medals, how far you are to any specific medal whatever...
There are some links around, you can find via searching map rank etc...Then follow the introductions then install it...
