What is the setup to avoid luck as less as possible:
sequential, no spoils, adjacent ?

And following this idea of trying to limit the luck factor, what is the best 1vs1 map according to you ?

thank you

note: I know luck is part of the game ;)

The biggest thing you can do, is avoid flat rate, and/or unlimited forts.

I play a lot of 1v1s, so I will put in a few words

1. Any small map is all luck... small maps are anything under 60 territories.
2. Never play flat rate.
3. Never play unlimited sequential, until you learn how to counter massive reinforcements.
4. In essence all simple maps are the same: drop, then luck, complex maps... you know what you are doing, or you have no clue.

Fog (for 2 players) adds just a bit of strategy, but it is an easy thing to master.

Escalating games do have some luck involved (as to who gets the set first) but 2 troops are generally enough compensation. It is not something you should avoid necessarily, not really a whole lot of luck.
