ok, i realize i'm gonna get ripped on for saying this, that i should just "suck it up", but it continues to happen to me.

That is, I get foed by higher ranked players when i beat them and take their points. Now this doesnt happen every day but it has happened enough that it pisses me off. Admittedly i look for games w/higher ranks, but so what, when i set up a game and lose to a lower rank, sometimes a cook, it pisses me off but i dont foe them.

1 guy in particular was more than happy to take my points in 4 or 5 games in a row, but when i take 1 from him, thats too much.

I have never agreed with the foe/ignore list, and never will.

there now, i feel better.

I have had that happen to me once. But most of the people who have foed me is either because I have foed them, and they can't deal with it, or because they are trying to farm, and I join one of those games.

You know, it often works if you just PM the person...

ignoring people is childish so why would a child have a reasonable talk

foe list sucks
the only time i use it is when someone suicides me for no reason

I never liked the concept, either. Yeah I suicided on someone, and they added me to their foes list, but then another player who i never played, pm'ed me to say I was added to his as well. But oh well, what're you gonna do? Lacky-boy ain't gonna take it away, and people will continue to be whiney little girls, or perfectionists, so just get used to it.

Like it or not, but it's there. So use it to your advantage. People think they're adding you to their enemies list, but what's really going on, you're weeding out the whiney little girls, who get upset when someone says a bad word around them. Accepting defeat is what separates the men from the boys. And who wants to play competitive games with boys?

i've never foed anyone... is there a way of finding out if i've been foed by anyone?

If they're an active user but you can't post on their wall, then you are on their foe list.

The only reasons I foe people:
1. Suicided into me
2. Gives all 1 star ratings: aka. moron
3. Is an idiot/troll in the forums

Reasons I have been foed:
1. Complained after being suicided into
2. Farmer does not like me joining their games (no, not KLOBBER)
3. Someone asks me why I foed them, then are upset with the answer.
4. Probably some others, but those are the only ones I know of, and can list people for off the top of my head.

I was going to foe him but he joined my other game (the one that he won) faster than I was able to foe him.

I get tired of peeps complaining about freestyle, if they don't like peeps running the clock out, why the hell do they join freestyle games in the first place?

i have never added someone to my foe list because i play mainly only tournament and clan games, so i dont want it coming back to be and bitting me back in the @$$

I for one, think the foe list is great. If you dislike someone, you can choose not to play with that person. I have a pretty big foe list, but mostly because I get pissed off at my dice combined with the player's attitude, and later forget to unfoe that person. If they PM me later on, I will unfoe them (unless they're real jerks, than the foe stays). So I don't see anything wrong with the foe list, everyone has it's own reasons, right? It's not an enemy list, it's just the list of players you do not wish to play, now or never.

The foe list is essential to sane interaction on an internet site. Imagine if when you went out to a restaurant, you were forced to respond to anyone who walked up and started talking to you. What prevents this is that most people have the good manners to leave most people they pass in a restaurant alone. However, if you are plagued with a talkie who will not leave you alone, you can ask the management to remove them, and that generally ends it. The foe list is nothing more than asking the management to have someone removed so you can control when you interact with them.

This is no different than a private game, or a clan. Each of those examples is a method by which people are grouped together or isolated from others.

It is part of life, so get over it.

Wasn't you Demon; it was me. Yes, he is correct about one thing, it was 5-1 me. Azezzo is a very good player. The game where he won, feel free to look it up, High Seas map, he had the game in the bag and continued to drag it out; making absurd attacks on neutrals as I got 3 armies per turn to his 20 plus. His excuse was that he had to get through neutrals to get to me. LOL, come on, if im getting 3 armies per turn, he must own 3/4 of the map does he not? He could have ended the game 3 rds earlier yet decided to play a game with me. No harm no foul, I just dont have time for that.

Hey Wayne, talking to yourself again? Are you using spell-check yet? I love this foe function, saves so much space on useless posts.

Also, the foe function can be used to block pms. This works great with wayne -- don't read his post, don't get his pms, don't play games with him unless I want to -- perfect.

maybe if you spent more time listing and less bitching you might enjoy life more

Personally, I think the foe's list is nothing more then to enable users to be as immature as the people they're blocking.

Certainly levels the playing field.
