In Lebanon, Conquer Club is in the top 1000 most visited websites.

This fact brought to you courtesy of the extended traffic statistics available through Alexa.com

Please share any other interesting CC related facts.

Chessplaya is from Lebanon... odd because I've only seen a handful of guys from Lebanon- now Netherlands on the other hand.

For comparison purposes:

Netherlands is very high indeed! And a low total amount of internet traffic from Lebanon explains the relatively low number of users here.

How many new members does CC get per day? How many new paying members does CC get per day?

Any results for Canadians?
I doubt there's much.
I'm one of two people I know here playing.

Congratulations on not taking the time to click on the image sully posted. I am sure that the answer was not sitting in the middle of this tiny thread, let's have everyone repeat it. Here is a link to the 5th post: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 6#p1755232

Canada has a very strong showing which makes sense because the founder is Canadian and that is where the initial base of the site spread.

Plus, I bet lack's entire wardrobe is made of CC t-shirts which provides a great deal of free local advertising.

(Sorry about the poor image above. imageshack has apparently eliminated their direct link capabilities so I will be switching to another image hosting website)

Seems fine to me. They changed the system, and now you actually have to right click on the image. It no longer gives you the url you need straight out.

Please Share Any Other Interesting C.Club Facts??

O.K.

How about this one?

Perhaps the management could take a little action to reverse this trend?

okay, that makes sense. I understand imageshack tries to bring traffic to their site because that is how they benefit from free image hosting, but I hate having to link images to them instead of posting them directly....so that helps!

...just take the link out of the code and you don't have to anymore. :-s

I did that originally but then it was just a super small pic (the unlinked version of the pic I posted)

Anyway, ignoring my pic posting blunder....any other interesting CC facts?

I am surprised the US is that far up, actually. Even though most of the members are from here, I can think of a great deal of sites visited far more often.

Probably should not have been so harsh on a new member. Sorry guys.

I'm a bit keen to find out if there's some hidden-type meaning to "Salamander Software". I mean, Lack's Canadian, which logically leads to Ninja Turtles... but Salamanders? Are they even native?

yes.

I'm not quite sure how Ninja Turtles follow logically from Canada.

The Canadian flag is red. Red ear sliders are a popular pet in Canada. Raphael wears a red headband. The TMNT are red ear sliders. Raphael is a TMNT.

QED. :D

Salamander Software reminded me of a very crappy BBC children's show called the Demon Headmaster where Salamander brand computers were being used to hypnotize the world or something. It was so bad that it was actually quite fun to watch.

Anyway, did you know that waaaay back in the early days of CC, there was no premium membership? Free members had unlimited games. Then someone suggested that Lack should earn something for all the work he put into the site and everyone not donating should have a limit on the amount of simultaneous games. 10 was suggested and 10 was chosen, then it became 8 and 4, I think. Anyway sorry to all you freemies out there for that suggestion, I was young and foolish.

Also did you know that I was number one on the scoreboard? This way back in the first week or so, where the top score was just breaching 1300 and the only maps were Asia, USA and Classic.

Ahh, good times, good times.
