Has there ever been any thought to having a rank limitaion?

As in you could only play agains your rank, 3 ranks up and 3 ranks down.


Maybe they could be a totally category of games. That way if people liked the current style they could continue to play against anyone, or if they really wanted a challenege they could play rank limited games.
I think this would promote a new, healthy challenge. This is just a thought. What do you all think?

Already been several suggestions like this.. all have been turned down. It simply won't happen.

why don't you go search the suggestion forum? it's been suggested and
turned down several times in several variations as stated earlier in the
thread. and please, can you type a bit louder, you aren't coming in that
clear over the INTERNETS... i'm not voting...

however, if you want to play people within your rank range, you can go
to callouts and get into password games with rank requirements. not sure
if they go as low as your rank (not being a jerk, i honestly don't know), but you can
surely get a thread up and get people with the same rank into password protected
games. ummmm... well, you are freemium, so maybe someone could set them
up for you.

I dont want to suggest it yet cause i just want to get an idea of what people think.

sigh, did you read my last post? your idea has been suggested multiple times in various ways, and all have been turned down. again, your best bet for "rank" games is within the callouts forum. just trying to help you save some time and find what you are looking for.-0

I know all that stuff, I’m just looking for opinions.

I guess I want to see a new system where rank actually matters, where all (or close to it) earn there rank through beating respectable opponents in respectable matches. Its seems as if the rank system is flawed (if not worthless) and what’s the point of having it if it doesn’t matter. I’m sure not everyone wants to achieve greatness, yes some of us want to just play to have fun, others want to be the best, most want both. Right now you can be the best, THE BEST, by beating chefs forever. We all know you can don’t try to fight it.

With this new system I think, and i guess others agree, that the ranks will actually reflect skill. Yes, it is a aim at utopia, which as we all know is impossible to achieve, but it is a very large step in the right direction.
