i dont like the fact that you now have to scroll through every map to get to the one you want to start a game on
at least the other way was quicker if a little more cluttered

I hate it,please reinstate the old game start page as soon as possible.

The new game start is a whole lot better. Once again, people complained when the game finder first changed for about 6 hours, then for some reason, we did not have any more complaints.

You use it a few times and you get used to it. I think this way it will be more convenient in the end.

Does anyone know how to select several maps in the game finder? I never use that function anyways, but found that I could not do so easily.

I must say i like this ALOT more it makes tournament organizing a ton easier

Before - I would have to make a round with say 10 different maps id have to scroll up and down the list trying to find the correct map, sometimes glossing over it
Now - I simply go to the list and find the correct name, a ton easier on me

Yep, it certainly does jump to the proper place in the list if you do that.

i just don't like that i have to scroll all the way to the bottom to search for a members games. i generally join games with friends by putting in their name and searching for their games... now, i have to go to more places to do what could be done much easier before... i'm sure i'll get used to it, but it is an extra .03 seconds out of my life that i can never have back... ahem..-0

HATE it.

If searching for a game on one of 7 or 8 maps, scrolling down and CTRL-clicking on each one u like is MUCH more difficult than clicking 7 or 8 check boxes. Also, some of us are more visually oriented, and the map names don't "ring a bell" as much as a small image of the map.

Can we have BOTH options on different pages, to use either when it works best for us?

If you ask me, this was a change for change's sake.

miss the "visual menu" vice the text scroll-down.

it's really the same issue. HATE them both.

I haven't even been to bed yet and it has changed from listing the map (with display) to just a scroll bar. I prefer the 1st change since it gave the map pic & you had a click-able thumb of the map to show exactly what game you were starting. The scroll-down does not show it!

Change the game finder all you want but the "start a game" was looking GREAT!

And freestyle is AGAIN default...

By far the easiest (to solve), by far the purest (in a sense of complete lack of doubts that sequential should be default), but still most endurable problem in history of CC! I'm so puzzled that it starts to be amusing (instead of frustrating)...

so what? they both blow now, neither has images now, and i am finally seeing the change on my computer, which makes my earlier remarks null and void. wow, i hope this is a step towards something. i don't even know some of the names of the maps i play, ha!!! -0

I like the game start a lot more now, and hate the new game finder. So, for me there is a difference in which we are talking about here.

I think the change is the good web design. Sooner or later those radio buttons and checkboxes will become drop downs or lists.

Granted that it is a bit awkward and harder to choose more than one maps in the list box but giving the limited "real estate" space of the web page and growing maps in CC, I guess it is inevitable.


Anyway, I still want Game Finder to have average points searching functionality ...

well, they both look the same to me and i hate them. oddly enough, at the time of my first post, i pretty much had not seen the change yet. now, i see 2 new deals, and i can't digest them... hopefully, this is a step towards something else.-0

Where/how can I find out what each map looks like?

I really liked the visual idea behind picking maps.

what happens if I'm looking for a map, but I can't remeber the name? am I SOL? have to look through all these maps one by one?

For some reason... I can give the names to almost all of the maps on CC without trouble. Maybe people should actually look at the names of what they were playing on, rather than just the picutre, and perhaps even take a look at the creator's name.

I do know most of the names, mostly because we refer to maps by name when setting up rt's. The problem here is the hypothetical situation of somebody not playing a particular map for a while and thinking "I feel like playing... what was that map called again? It was fun, but I just don't remember the name. If only they still had those little pictures still, a quick skim through would solve my problem... now I have to go waste time figuring out what that map was called..."
