Philosophy of CC Strategy

Postby Herikus on Mon Jan 05, 2009 10:16 pm

Hello folks.

I'm new to CC, but I would like to know everybody's opinion on this question-

-Whose strategies/philosophies best apply to the games played in CC out of all the strategists/philosophers in history?

-If it applies to different maps: what maps?

Thanks!

Too broad a question too many answers.

If you want a direction of the best player on a map/setting combination, most would agree on the answer, but not on this.

The best way to gain points is to kill lower ranks and people who have horrible strategy, but that is a horrible method that will gain you nothing but a bad reputation and a rank that no one thinks you are good enough for.

I would say play a few games and then start thinking about this stuff.

I think the OP is trying to compare CC to real war strategy.

In that case, I think Teddy had it right. Speak softly, for otherwise you will be flamed, negged or ignored. Carry the biggest stick possible for thwapping thine enemies with big cash in.

Use Patton's approach -- don't attack until you can overwhelm -- then don't stop until you've kicked their asses.

I believe my friend nikox had the right idea... Hit them hard, hit them fast, and if it seems like you're going to lose, take their family hostage.

Worked everytime.

Does anybody find Sun Tzu's ideals to be most fitting and applicable to CC (and most logical competitions).

The underlying philosophy of my CC strategy is easy: Don't lose.
