If I would be the only experence player, I probably shouldn't join because I think that another player could be a better teacher. And I'm trying to be more serious in mafia games now. But I'll still be unserious sometimes.

pancake, since you are basing this off the way mafiascum runs their Newbie games, you might consider using their "3 experienced, 4 newbie" player balance as well. It seems to work.

I'm not volunteering, though.

Since we're all pretty new at this, anyone have a strategy to finding the mafia on day one? It seem like its always an arbitrary thing. people random vote, and then the votee votes back thereupon original voter, b/c really you have no idea. perhaps others have seen a good way to lynch on day 1? its usually the anoyying guy or sheep.

I want to get on with this game!

I would tell you my strategy, but if you ever play with me in a game you'll know right away what I'm doing.
