I am redoing the map currently.
New thematic/gameplay idea:
To better expand on the theme of Austin billing itself the Live Music Capital of the World, I think it would be cool to have a "Unite the band and book some gigs" victory condition. Strategically placed on the map would be a lead singer, guitarist, bass guitarist, drummer and manager, along with various nightclubs. Holding all the elements of the band along with a percentage of the nightclubs for one round will be the victory condition.
Perhaps in order to help make the victory condition a bit easier to achieve, have each band member/manager held be a +1, and maybe something like +2 for every 3 nightclubs held (not sure on this, need to see how many nightclubs will be on the map first).
To be done:
Better background.
Fix the river, make it look decent.
Fix bridges, make them look like bridges.
General graphics revamp.
